Duke target Mark Mitchell will be taking a second visit to Duke.
The five-star small forward announced on his Instagram that he will attend Duke’s annual Countdown to Craziness event. This year’s Countdown to Craziness will take place on Friday, October 15th.
Mitchell also made it known that he will be announcing his college decision in December.
Mitchell spoke highly of Duke after his first visit. In an interview with Eric Bossi of 247Sports, here is what Mitchell had to say on his Duke visit:
“I have a great relationship with Scheyer, coach Carrawell was a really funny guy. It was just different, its Duke basketball. They move a little different out there and I like what I was seeing from just knowing that they might need a guy like me because they might have some turnover from the guys that are there.”
The fact that Mitchell will be taking a second visit is a fantastic sign for Duke. Countdown to Craziness is always a special event, and attending will give Mitchell an opportunity to experience Duke in a new way.
Currently, there is one prediction on Mitchell’s 247Sports player profile of where he will attend college and that prediction has him going to Duke. While there does not seem to be a clear favorite at this point, Duke is certainly in the mix.
Mitchell’s recruitment is absolutely one to monitor. He would be a terrific addition to Duke’s 2022 class.
