Highlights from future Blue Devils in Iverson Classic All-American Game

The Iverson Classic All-American Game, featuring several of the top ranked prospects in the Class of 2021, took place Saturday night. Among the top players in the class participating in the game were Duke commits Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin, and Trevor Keels.

Paolo Banchero and AJ Griffin played on the same team while Trevor Keels was on the opposing team. The event provided a small preview as to what it will look like when all three of these highly touted Freshmen share the floor for Duke next season. The future Blue Devils certainly fared well in this star-studded event.

This clip shows Paolo Banchero, the #2 ranked prospect in the country, driving against Chet Holmgren, the #1 ranked recruit in the country. Banchero got the better of Holmgren here, and made it look easy. Banchero shows off his handle, which combined with his size, make him a nightmare to handle for any defender. Banchero and Holmgren will see each other again when Duke takes on Gonzaga next season.

Trevor Keels shows off his smooth offensive game here. The six-foot-five shooting guard does a great job getting downhill and converts the tough layup attempt. At his size, Keels is a load to handle when driving to the rim and this play is evidence of that. On the other end, Banchero scores.

In this clip, AJ Griffin shows off the deep range he has repeatedly shown in high school. It is safe to assume he probably did not call bank here, but the shot went in nonetheless.

This time, Griffin converts the three point attempt with a shot that is nothing but net. Griffin has frequented that step back move in high school. It is a go to weapon for him, and one that he has found a lot of success with.

Very nice move here from Griffin as he drives to the rim and draws a foul. Much like Keels and Banchero, Griffin is tough to stop when driving to the basket.

Trevor Keels showcases more of his offensive ability in this clip. His prolific three point shooting ability is on full display here.

More incredible plays from Banchero. Players of his size rarely possess the ability to knock down jumpers off the dribble, yet Banchero does it effortlessly.

Not only was Banchero dominant offensively, he displayed how good of a defender he is as well. Here he does a terrific job of moving his feet and finishing the play with the blocked shot.

This All-American game was packed with highlight worthy plays from future Blue Devils. It will not be long before these players are making play after play in Cameron Indoor. These Freshmen along with Jaylen Blakes are going to be special group.
